Hearts Unite 1826 Pinkeep

This cross stitch on linen pinkeep
measures 4-3/4"x 5-3/4".  It is snippet
filled and edge whipstitched.
The pinkeep is backed with
reproduction cotton.

I have secured a rusty safety pin and a
scrap of over-dyed rick rack trim on the
upper corner.
This is a design from Primitive
Stitchin'.

Mr. Flurry - Needle Punch Hornbook

Mr. Flurry measures 7-1/2"x 7"x 3/4".
He is stitched with Valdani hand
over-dyed threads and secured to a
prim hornbook, hand cut from repurposed
wood.

The hornbook is sanded and has
rusty wire and an assortment of
buttons attached to the wire with
a rusty safety pin.  Edged with
homespun trim.

The hornbook has time worn nicks,
dings and dents which add to the
old look.  This is a design
from Brenda Gervais.

Tin Tart Cross Stitch

Offered is a unique cross stitch on
linen that I finished into an antique
tart/custard tin cup.

I found this tinware at a local
antique shop; it is old but is perfectly
round and has no rust or major
imperfections,  just some sweet
memories from its use.

It measures 3" diameter  x  2-3/4" height.

 I stitched this with conventional
cotton threads, filled it firmly with
batt and edged it with black mini
pom-pom trim.  There are two
pearl head hat pins inserted into
the top.... please use caution around
children as they are not glued in.
