Punch Needle Crow Hornbook

This primitive hornbook measures

5-1/2"x 7"and is stitched with Valdani

hand over-dyed threads and edged

with black boucle yarn.

It is mounted to a hand cut wood

hornbook that is wrapped at the top 
with rusty wire and star.

Marking Sampler Pinkeep - Little Dog

The pinkeep is a cute design from 

Pineberry Lane measuring 6"x 7". 

I stitched this on aged linen with

conventional threads and whip

stitched the bottom closed with

linen thread.

It is snippet filled and 

edged with a prim overcast stitch.

Vintage Skimmer Punch Needle

While poking around our local

antique shops I found this olde

tin skimmer measuring 5-3/4"x 6". 

It has the primitive look of being 

used many, many times which 

just adds to its charm.  

I stitched the punchneedle

round with Valdani hand over-dyed

threads featuring a bee skep and 
little bee keeping watch over it.

  

There is rusty wire wound through

the top with a few olde buttons from

my stash.  

Unique and time worn, this skimmer is a
prim reminiscent of years past.

Netty's Sampler Pinkeep Drum

Netty's Sampler is a design from

Stacy Nash and measures 4"x 4-1/4".

I stitched this on linen, it is firmly

stuffed.  

There are two old pearl hat

pins in the top and a double button

embellishment sewn on the top

through the bottom.
