January Updates

Linen Pinkeep Pair

The below pair of pinkeeps are stitched on aged linen and stuffed with clean sawdust for a somewhat olde heavy feel.

The Valentine pinkeep measures 7" x 3" and has a piece of cluny cotton lace on the end.  The Always pinkeep measures 4-3/4" x 4-3/4".

I have prim cross stitched the edges and added a rusty look key on the Valentine and a rusty heart on Always.

They are stitched with muted threads and backed with red coat weight 100% wool.

'Tis sold - Thank you Vicki

Punch Needle Hornbook

The hornbook measures 9" x 5-3/4" and features a punch needle adaptation by Notforgotten Farm stitched with Valdani hand over-dyed threads.

It is edged with black boucle and has rusty wire around the top.

The wood is reclaimed, based in dove gray, over brushed with black, sanded and antiqued.  The hornbook wood is hefty as it weighs over a pound and has time worn nicks, dings and dents.

'Tis sold - Thank you Vicki

Primitive Heart Make-Do

This primitive make-do measures 10-1/2" x 5-3/4" wide (at the widest section of the heart).  I have used a variety of fabrics; cottons and tickings.  There are many different decorative stitches on the heart, many of them hand stitched and a rusty look key is attached with a rusty safety pin.

The heart sits in a reclaimed spring that I have tied at the base to shorten it a tad.  There is a grunged reversible tag tied to the spring with an over-dyed strip of lace.

It is backed with the aged cottage floral fabric shown on the top of the heart.

Kindly asking $22 plus travel fare.

Pear Sampler Make-Do

Offered below is a pear make do measuring 8-1/2" x 4".  The base measures 2-1/2" square.

The pear is stitched in muted threads on natural evenweave and is mounted to a wood make-do base.

There is a grunged tag and jute tied to the base and a velvet leaf and tree twig for a stem attached on the top.  The back is a mottled print cotton.

Kindly asking $22 plus travel fare.
