Primitive Door Hanger

This primitive hanger measures 

4-1/2" x 8".  It is stitched on aged/grunged

linen and backed with dark navy wool.  

I have stitched rusty bells on the 
bottom edge.  

The ribbon hanger is pinned on the 
front with rusty safety pins and adds 
another 8"to the overall height.

My Black Hen Hornbook

My Black Hen measures 6-1/2" x 

7-1/4" and is worked with Valdani 

hand over-dyed threads. 

This is a design from Teresa Kogut.  

The hornbook is hand cut from 

reclaimed wood and is black based 

with sanded areas.

Rusty bells are wound on rusty 
wire and attached to the top.  
Black boucle edges the stitchery.

Black Cat Framed Tuck

Black Cat primitive stitchery measures 
5-1/4" x 9-1/4".  It is stitched on aged 
linen and hand laced to a backing board 
set in the frame.  

This simple stitchery does not 
have an easel or hanger,  just
tuck it in a corner, basket or 
lean it on a shelf. 

It is backed with plain brown kraft 
paper.  A simple little stitchery.....

Two Crows & Sunflowers Hornbook

This hornbook measures 5-1/2" x 

9-3/4" x 3/4".  

It is stitched with Valdani hand 

over-dyed threads, secured to a 

reclaimed hand cut hornbook and 

edged with boucle.  

This is a design by Margaret Shaw 

and has a wonderful mix of colors.
