Wool Spring Mat & Pinkeep
This spring applique mat and matching pinkeep
are stitched with wool felt and overdyed wools.
The mat measures 9" x 13" and is bordered
with black wool edges stitched onto the
foundation. A mix of blanket stitches
and whip stitches are used on the pieces.
The pinkeep measures 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" and has
a rusty safety pin with buttons attached.
Both are backed with the same wool felt
as used in the foundation.

Spring Linen Pinkeep
It's spring, it's spring !!!
This pinkeep measures 3" x 5-1/2" and is stitched on
linen with over-dyed threads in muted colors.
Strands of cotton threads are wrapped around
one end and it it backed with a coordinating fabric.
The pinkeep is filled with wool and

1817 Sampler Linen Pinkeep

4-1/4" x 5".
It is stitched with conventional muted threads
on linen, backed with a coordinating cotton.
The pinkeep is snippet filled and accented with a
rusty safety pin and buttons on the front,
primitively stitched closed.
